Builders Merchants Journal – BMJ Publishing to Builders Merchants and the UK merchanting industry for more than 95 years
Building Materials Digital Services Ltd (BMDS), the joint venture between the BMF and NMBS, has signed agreements with five suppliers to share product data on their new platform, Data Yard .
The companies are C-Tec (CT1), Fernco, Knauf, Knauf Insulation and Ox Tools UK.
Powered by Omiteo’s PIM system, Etimix, Data Yard is set to reduce duplication, and streamline the sharing of product information between suppliers and merchants.
Gareth Thomas, managing director of BMDS, said: “We are delighted to welcome the first five forward-thinking companies who are contributing to the transformation of product data sharing within our industry. Their proactive engagement and dedication provide an excellent model for others, and we anticipate that many additional suppliers will join BMDS’ Data Yard in the coming weeks.”
