Egger expands capacity

EGGER has significantly expanded its OSB capacity with a new plant in Radauti, Romania which has a capacity of 500,000 cu m.

It has also made further investment to the original OSB line at the Wismar plant in Germany to take capacity up to 360,000cu m, resulting in overall capacities at Eggerof 860,000 cu m per annum.

National building sales manager Barclay Scott said: “Due to the significant group investment in OSB, we have ensured long-term UK local supply of our OSB boards by further investing in two dedicated distribution hubs to service the whole of the UK, one based in Perth, Scotland and one based in the North East of England.

In addition we can offer mixed loads of EUROSTRAND® OSB3 with P5 flooring grade particleboards such as EGGER Protect, EGGER Peel Clean Xtra and EGGER P5″.
