MP Davey received a tour of the centre at the merchant’s Lewes branch from Chandlers’ head of sustainability, Phil Barnard, who explained how the products in the centre work to benefit the environment.

The Sustainable Building Solutions Centre showcases a number of the latest sustainable, eco friendly and energy efficient products. Customers are able to visit the showroom to find out more about rainwater harvesting systems, biomass boilers, water efficiency bathroom suites, solar panels, the new European water label and much more.

“We were delighted that Mr Davey was able to cut the ribbon and officially open the centre,” said Barnard.

“The way that the building industry is working, and the way that we are living in our homes, is constantly changing and evolving. Sustainable and environmentally friendly building techniques are really coming to the fore and our centre provides some of the leading sustainable products on the market giving people an energy efficient alternative.”

Chandlers’ Sustainable Building Solutions Centre is based at the Lewes branch on Daveys Lane.
