Dimplex puts its best foot forward for charity

Hosted by football manager Harry Redknapp, the annual event at the Remedy Oak Golf Club in Dorset sees amateurs joining forces with famous football names including Jamie Redknapp, Matt le Tissier, Graeme Souness and Pat Jennings.

After the tournament, an auction was hosted by snooker player Willie Thorne and boosted the funds raised to £30,000, which will benefit children’s hospices Naomi House in Hampshire and Julia’s House in Dorset, as well as Round Table Children’s Wish, of which Rednapp is a patron.

Dimplex managing director Stuart Mackenzie said: “We are thrilled that this year’s event has raised even more than last year’s total, and once again we’re extremely grateful to Harry and all the players who gave their time to make the day such a success.”

The winning team was Vershal Relan playing with football personalities Brett Pitman, Shaun Cooper and Darren Anderton.
