Cromar wins H&B Supplier award

Independent builders merchant buying group H&B has named Cromar Building Products as its 2019 Supplier of the Year.

The award, presented at the group’s Annual Members Event at the Belfry, commended Cromar for its excellent service levels but for what it termed the independent, agile and innovative culture of the company.

This award is nominated by all of the members of H&B’s 90+ independent merchant members. They comment on their best suppliers, taking into account delivery, product quality, sales support, product merchandising, administration accuracy, packaging, handling, and problem-solving.

Yorkshire-based Cromar provides H&B members with a wide range of flat and pitched roofing products including compounds and membranes.

“At a time of continuing mergers, acquisitions and consequent reductions in supplier choice, we take pride in the fact that Cromar’s independence gives us the flexibility to respond quickly to new and changing customer needs”, says Cromar’s sales director Daniel Marshall. “This is why our business model works so well for independent merchants – we think like them and we work like them.
