CPS opens 300th branch in Durham with the help of Durham City football club

City Plumbing Supplies (CPS) has cut the ribbon at its 300th trade outlet, which also includes a new bathroom showroom. Branch staff at the new CPS Durham, located in Abbey Road Retail & Business Park, kicked-off the celebration with help from Durham City football club, alongside local plumbing and heating installers.

The new Durham branch enlisted the help of the club alongside CPS managing director, John Frost, to celebrate the event on September 11th 2015. CPS sponsored player, Nicky Allen, helped officially open the new branch, and one lucky customer on the first day of trading will win on-pitch billboard advertising.

The opening created four new jobs in the local area, meaning that domestic installers now have access to a wider range of plumbing and heating products, in addition to a new bathroom showroom.

John Frost, managing director of CPS, said: “This is a momentous occasion for CPS and represents a huge achievement for colleagues based right across the UK. We’re thrilled to name Durham as our 300th branch and hope customers enjoy access to the new facility and the many services it offers.”

CPS offers a wide range of plumbing, heating and bathroom products. Acquired by Travis Perkins in 2002, CPS has a national network of 300 branches, expected to rise to 400 over the coming two years. CPS has one of the largest network of bathroom showrooms across the UK, home to leading brands and own brand, Iflo Sanitaryware.
