Hampshire builders merchants Coomers has presented bowel cancer charity GUTS with a cheque for £4,000.
Coomers adopted GUTS as its 2015 nominated charity and raised the money at corporate events including a charity golf day, via in-store collections, and through sponsorships of staff who took part in the Great South Run in October 2015.
Thanks to the continued support of customers and staff, over £17,000 has been raised for Coomers’ nominated charities since 2010, with the total collected for GUTS being a record amount.
This year the family business – with branches at Haslemere, Bordon and Oakhanger – is celebrating its 60th anniversary and has chosen to support the Haslemere branch of Macmillan as its nominated charity.
