The event raised over £800 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation® UK.

Among the youngsters helped by the charity are 13-year-old Sussex resident Andrew Day, whose mother Jackie is the clarinet player in the band. As an avid Lego fan, Andrew – who suffers from neuroblastoma, a rare form of children’s cancer – his parents and his sister were all flown to Denmark for four nights where they stayed in the Lego hotel, had a tour of the Lego factory and also met the Lego designers.

Rob Sadler, of Chandlers Building Supplies and a member of the band, said: “This is such a worthy cause and I am glad that both Chandlers Building Supplies and the Petworth Town Band were able to do something to help raise such a great amount of money for them. I would really like to thank everyone that came and supported the event.”
