CEMEX unites with Manchester sports club to tackle road safety

Building materials manufacturer CEMEX UK has agreed a partnership deal with Greater Manchester Community sports club, Prestwich CTBC (cricket, tennis and bowling club) that will see road and cyclist safety education and awareness reach over 1000 children in Greater Manchester this year.

CEMEX unites with Manchester sports club to tackle road safety

The two companies will work jointly within the North Manchester community to carry out a number of road safety events at the club’s ground in Heys Road through the junior sports activities.

CEMEX UK regional commercial manager, Damon Montgomery, said: “Children that walk and cycle to their local school and sports club should be aware of the dangers around lgvs and we have a responsibility to ensure children are aware of the potential risks. Our partnership with Prestwich CTBC will help to make sure that the budding Freddie Flintoff and Andy Murray of tomorrow will get to training safely.”
