Pallet LOOP welcomes Lime Green partnership

The Pallet LOOP is proud to announce that Lime Green, a leading UK manufacturer of lime products and natural insulation systems, has signed up to use its reusable green pallets. The new partnership will see Lime Green move its products onto The Pallet LOOP’s distinctive green pallets, supporting the recovery, repair and reuse of pallets across the construction supply chain. Founded in 2002 and based near Much Wenlock in Shropshire, Lime Green manufactures lime mortars, plasters and renders, alongside natural insulation systems and specialist products for repair, renovation and retrofit. The company’s decision to adopt LOOP pallets represents another step in its commitment to environmental sustainability and the responsible use of materials. Unlike traditional construction pallets, which are often discarded after a single journey, LOOP pallets are designed to be recovered, repaired and used again. This helps keep them in circulation for longer, reducing timber waste. Customers receiving Lime Green products will be able to return green LOOP pallets through The Pallet LOOP’s nationwide collection service. A PayBack of £2 to £4 is available for each eligible green pallet returned, providing customers with a financial reward for supporting a more sustainable supply chain. Lime Green joins a growing number of building materials manufacturers adopting The Pallet LOOP’s reusable pallet system and supporting a more circular approach to transporting products throughout UK construction. Its involvement will help build further momentum and create the critical mass needed to make pallet recovery, repair and reuse standard practice across the industry. To date, more than three million LOOP pallets have been issued, with £1.5 million paid back into the construction industry, and with £8 million still available to be claimed. James Ayres, Co-founder and Operations Director at Lime Green, said: “Sustainability is central to the way we develop our products and how we want our business to operate. Our materials are designed to help create healthier, longer lasting and more sustainable buildings, so it is important that we also consider how those products move through the supply chain. “Working with The Pallet LOOP gives us a practical way to reduce avoidable pallet waste while making it easier and more rewarding for our customers to return pallets. “By moving Lime Green products onto reusable LOOP pallets, we can help keep valuable timber in use for longer and offer our customers a straightforward collection service and the opportunity to receive PayBack for eligible green pallets.” Dan McKane, Business Development Director at The Pallet LOOP, said: “We are delighted to welcome Lime Green to The Pallet LOOP. The company already has a strong commitment to natural materials, building performance and sustainability, making this partnership a natural fit. “Moving their products onto LOOP pallets is a significant commitment and demonstrates how manufacturers can make meaningful improvements across their supply chains. “This will not only help reduce pallet waste and keep timber in circulation but will also deliver clear benefits for Lime Green’s customers. They will have access to a simple nationwide collection service and can receive a £2 to £4 PayBack for every eligible green LOOP pallet returned. “We look forward to working closely with Lime Green and its customers as the pallets begin moving through the construction supply chain.”
