Builders Merchants Journal – BMJ Publishing to Builders Merchants and the UK merchanting industry for more than 95 years
The Builders Merchants Federation has appointed Dave Castle, chief operating officer at MKM Building Supplies, as a Board Advisor with effect from May 27 2026.
Castle became MKM’s first COO twelve months ago, and previously served as a BMF board director in 2024/25 but resigned upon leaving Travis Perkins. He replaces Martin Stables of IBMG, who stepped down in March 2026.
BMF Chairman, Richard Hill, says: “We are delighted to welcome Dave back as a Board Advisor. He brings commercial expertise and deep sector knowledge gained from his experience across the merchant sector, which will be invaluable to the BMF as we continue to drive innovation and growth in support of our members.”
