Builders merchants rescue allotment project

Jackson Building Centres’ branch in Swinton, near Rotherham, has come to the rescue of a children’s allotment site when it was ransacked by thieves.

Vandals broke into the Just Ask project in Mexborough, used by hundreds of local schoolchildren, and wrecked buildings and stole £800 worth of gloves jackets and equipment.

The Jacksons branch immediately donated 10 new high visibility bomber jackets to the project, without which, health and safety rules would have prevented the children from using the project.
