BSS Industrial is expanding the warehouse at its Magna Park National Distribution Centre (NDC) in Leicestershire in a bid to improve product choice and availability for its customers.

The company says by extending its warehouse by a further 38,500 square feet, it will increase the regularity of deliveries to its nationwide branch network making a wider range of products available overnight.
This means that any order placed by 5pm will be in-store by the time it opens the next day.
It is also expected that the newly expanded facility will create up to six jobs for workers in the local area.
David Rose, divisional supply chain director for BSS Industrial and the Travis Perkins Group Contract Merchanting Division, said: “This investment is the next step in continuing to improve BSS’ service offering which we can proudly say is not offered anywhere else in the industry. This logistical support not only gives confidence to customers visiting the trade counters on a daily basis but enables BSS to satisfy the rapid expansion of the industrial market.”
The work to expand the Magna Park Distribution Centre began in March 2014 and is planned to finish in October 2014.
