Hard landscaping supplier Bradstone has created a simple-to-use paving tool, which aims to help stockists, installers and consumers design a patio or driveway online.

The Paving Planner allows users to generate a design using Bradstone products customised to the measurements of their project. The planner includes a range of laying patterns and automatically suggests designs to minimise cuts and wastage. Borders, circles and features can also be added.
Users are able to save, e-mail and print designs, as well as create a shopping list, which automatically calculates the required quantities of Bradstone product for the project. The Paving Planner then provides links to local stockists and Bradstone Assured installers to help drive sales.
Mike Leeming, sales director for Bradstone, said: “Our new Paving Planner is designed to add value and increase sales for stockists. It enables consumers to design their new patio or driveway from the comfort of their own home, or with their installer, before directing them to their nearest Bradstone merchant.
“It also offers a useful sales tool for stockists, helping to enhance the customer experience when consumers and installers come into store. The tool thinks like a landscaper to reduce the number of cuts, which is especially useful for stockists that are not designers themselves.”
The online planner can be used on both PCs and tablets and works on 3G connection, making it instantly accessible in store or on a job.
