Bradfords plan gala opening for new site

Monday March 17 will see the grand opening of Bradfords’ new purpose-built Plympton branch.
The new store, located at Bell Close, on the Newnham Industrial Estate, begins trading at the start of the month, but will be officially opened on the 17th by former Plymouth Argyle footballer, Mickey Evans.

“The new branch is in a more convenient location to main routes, and has improved loading facilities,” says branch manager John Moyle. “It also features a large self selection area, and 1500 new product lines. We’ve had to take on several new members of staff, so we’re investing in people as well as in better services for our customers.”

Staff from the existing Galileo Close premises will transfer to the new site, 22 people in total, including the four new recruits – a new driver, sales executive, yard sales specialist and counter sales staff.

Over 100 Bradfords customers have been invited to the opening, which starts at 2 pm. In addition, a number of major manufacturers will be present, offering special promotions on the day; including deals on timber, garage doors, bathroom suites, paint, and nail guns.
