
Builders merchants trade organisation the Builders Merchants Federation held its bi-annual All-Industry Conference in Barcelona last weekend (June 12-15th), focusing on how the industry can collaborate to build for the future.
With the headline Building Tomorrow Together, the event, which was headline-sponsored by ACO, was hosted by Mark Durden-Smith, returning to the event for the second time.
Among the topics covered were change management, risk inn business from the point of view of a former professional poker player, decarbonisation challenges, and an industry-specific forum, looking at housebuilding and merchants challenges.

Keynote speakers included Olympian Rebecca Adlington OBE, racing driver Nic Hamilton, and Baroness Harriet Harman, who served as Deputy Leader of the Labour Party from 2007-2015, Shadow Deputy Prime Minister from 2010-2015 and twice as Interim Leader of the Labour Party.
Industry speakers taking part in the forum were Neil Jefferson, CEO of the National Housebuilders Federation, Jennie Daly CBE, CEO of Taylor Wimpey, John Carter, CEO of Stark Building Materials UK, and Joe Tipper, director of independent family-owned builders merchant Tippers.
