Buck & Hickman, the distributor of tools, maintenance and health and safety products, has appointed Howard Luft as its new managing director.
Luft was previously managing director of Crown Paints following senior management positions with ICI and Saint Gobain Abrasives. He replaces Kelvin Liscombe who has been appointed corporate development director for The BSS Group plc, Buck & Hickman’s parent company.
Luft said: “It’s fantastic to be joining Buck & Hickman at a very exciting stage in the company’s long and prestigious history. Since its acquisition by the BSS Group in April 2007 there has been a tremendous amount of investment in both our branch network and in our IT infrastructure, with our aim being to continually improve customer service. I’m looking forward to taking the business to the next level in what will be Buck & Hickman’s 180th year of trading.”
