Worshipful Company welcomes six new Liverymen

The Worshipful Company of Builders’ Merchants has welcomed six new Liverymen at its latest Installation Dinner, held at Vintners’ Hall in the City of London.

Paul Hetherington, managing director of Alumasc; John Sinfield, managing director of Knauf Insulation; Fiona Russell-Horne, Editor of BuildersMerchantsJournal.net; David Anderson, managing director of Rixonway Kitchens; Andrew Murphy, sales & marketing director of Lafarge Cement UK; and Andrew Williams, managing director of Jackson Building Centres were welcomed by new Master Andrew Day.

The Company was founded over 50 years ago and this year received its Royal Charter. Currently it has 198 Liverymen and 22 Freemen.

Members first become a Freeman of the Company and are awarded the Freedom of the City before becoming a Liveryman, the final step in the process. Membership is by invitation only.

The Master, Andrew Day, said: “Our Company is a premier networking platform for members where senior industry people meet at events organised throughout the year. We are pleased to welcome the new Liverymen to our Company and hope they will take part in future events and actively support our objectives.”
