Wolseley revamp lightside management

Wolseley UK, the plumbers and builders merchant chain have created a new managerial structure for their lightside operations.

Wolseley revamp lightside management

The new structure brings together the leadership of the company’s plumbing and heating businesses – Plumb Center, Parts Center, William Wilson, BCG, Unifix and Bathstore – under one management team, led by Keith Jones.

Jones is currently Wolseley’s managing director for Central and Eastern Europe, a role he will combine with that of managing director for UK Lightside with immediate effect.

Rob Marchbank, CEO – Europe and managing director Wolseley UK, said: “Plumb Center accounts for nearly one third of Wolseley UK’s turnover and despite challenging market conditions, Plumb Center and Parts Center, who remain market leaders, are having one of the most successful years in their trading history.

“Keith will aim to build on this solid platform. The creation of the lightside management structure will also ensure we leverage and utilise the best practices across our businesses and align ourselves closer to our customers.”
