Trade-only independent plumbers merchant Williams & Co has opened its 20th branch.
The new branch, at Unit 12, Lake Road, Quarry Wood Industrial Estate
Aylesford, nr Maidstone, was opened by maintenance manager John Richards.
Richards is Williams & Co’s longest-serving employee; only chairman Mick Williams had been with the company longer.
So far this year Williams & Co have opened new branches in Slough and Croydon as well as Maidstone.
Williams says that any town with enough business to support some of the major national chains is a target for new branches. He is currently campaigning to have the Microgeneration Certification Scheme simplified to make it more appealing to smaller installers and plumbers.
