Union access social housing openings

Security specialist ASSA ABLOY has launched a new nightlatch, aimed at local authorities and housing associations.

Union access social housing openings

The UNION Easy Access Nightlatch has been specifically designed for easy operation when opening or closing entrance doors.

Developed in line with Approved Document M (ADM) of The Building Regulations and BS8300, with the support of the Walsall Disability Forum, it features extended operating levers, tactile rubber contact points and an oversized, easy grip key bow cover for ease of use. The nightlatch comes in three variants, including a rollerbolt version.

Darren Gittings of ASSA ABLOY, says: “If merchants are trading with local authorities and housing associations, then being able to offer the right mix of products that meet with the relevant legal duties and requirements is crucial. Social housing refurbishment and new-build is a growth area, which merchants can capitalise on by offering products like the UNION Easy Access nightlatch, and encouraging specifiers to trade up from standard security products.”
