The tread covers the full length of the base and the baths also have the option of chrome hand grips. They are available now and come with a 25-year guarantee.

The baths are available in the standard 1700 x 700mm size and a more compact, space-saving 1500 x 700mm model. The new tread is also available with the low-volume model, so customers can enjoy a more accessible bath and save up to 90 litres of water each time.

The new models are all made from acrylic, which is warm to the touch and has excellent heat retention properties, as well as being easy to clean. For added robustness the baths can be fitted with Twyford’s innovative, new twin-skinned Endurance front and end panels. They are as easy to fit and remove as a standard panel, with the extra strength to cope with the demands of any busy bathroom. The front panel fits any 1700mm bath and the end panel is available in 700 and 750mm widths.

Philippa Hemsley, product manager at Twyford, said: “We recognised that we needed to provide greater design flexibility for developers and social housing contracts by offering a choice of baths which include a tread pattern.

“We have gone the extra mile by introducing the tread on seven variations of the Opal to significantly extend our product offer to suit all sectors, and at the right price too.”
