Builders Merchants Journal – BMJ Publishing to Builders Merchants and the UK merchanting industry for more than 95 years
Builders merchant Travis Perkins has indicated that its takeover of rival merchant chain BSS could go-ahead within days.
Travis Perkins aims to pay £533m for the BSS Group, which includes plumbers merchant PTS and distributor F&P and industrial and commercial merchants BSS.
Last month the Office of Fair Trading said it needed more time to consider the issue.
Should the merger go-ahead, it would create the UK’s largest builders and plumbers merchant chain, ahead of Wolseley and Jewson.
