Travis Perkins opened their first dedicated merchanting park on Monday 22 October at the Pentland Industrial Estate in Loanhead, Edinburgh.
The park features standalone branches of three of the group’s merchant brands: Travis Perkins, City Plumbing Supplies and CCF. The intention is to offer a comprehensive range of building, plumbing and interiors products in one convenient location.
The merchant park format is one the company intend to roll out across the UK to cater, say the group, for a growing demand from their trade customers.
Group property director Martin Meech said: “The opening of our first merchant park represents an extremely important development for the Travis Perkins Group and demonstrates that we have listened to the needs of our customers. Housing three different merchant brands on one site means that trade customers can have access to a wider range of products and services.”
