Stelrad provides radiators for cricket club

Stelrad has announced it has provided support to Ashington Cricket Club, it provided them with replacement radiators.

The town of Ashington, in Northumberland, has recently come into the news because it is the birthplace of 1966 World Cup Winners Bobby and Jackie Charlton, the former passing away recently.Ashington CC 4

“It is a tough job in this current economic climate to keep the club financially afloat. If it was not for sponsors and businesses like Stelrad who support us, we would struggle. That is why we really appreciate your support,” said Steve Storey, club chairperson.

The cricket club is a non-profit making organisation, ploughing all the money it makes into supporting the local community.

“We were delighted to get involved in the project for the club,” said Lewis Aird, specification manager for Stelrad in the North East.

“We’ve been able to provide a dozen or so of our best-selling Compact radiators to share the heat around the club house here. Ashington is one of, if not the best-known sporting town in the country with its links to so many sports especially football and cricket and its amazing that so many high class sports people have come from what is a growing but modest town up here near the North Sea coast of Northumberland.

“It’s been a pleasure and a privilege to be able to help them with their renovation project.”
