Independent builders merchant Springfields Timber & Building Supplies has launched its brand new website with the help of e-commerce specialists Etail Systems.
The Chester-based merchant is hoping that its new site will grab the attention of builders nationwide, while those local will be able to order online and pick up directly from the yard free of charge.
Matt Compton, head of IT at Springfields is delighted with the new website. He said: “We initially started selling on eBay and due to that being a success, we wanted a site of our own to sell from. It’s great that we can still sell on eBay using our website’s back office system.
“The help from Etail Systems, from the initial meeting through to going live, has been fantastic. The site will be great for us and is a massive move in the right direction for Springfields.”
Springfields sells an array of timber and building supplies, from their natural stone paving, drainage pipes, work wear and tools, plus some sought after items. “We have lots of bricks in stock that have been discontinued, so we’re hoping that builders who are half way through house builds will come to us to solve their brick supply problems,” concluded Compton.
