Snows' management team undergoes restructure

From the 1st July, Mark Bowers will become commercial director for the firm, amalgamating the roles of procurement and sales & marketing.

Jim Peryer remains as managing director and has temporarily assumed additional responsibility for operations. Scott Russell remains as finance director.

John Lloyd, Snows’ current procurement director, is returning to the North West of England with his family after 15 years of service. Paul Trevelyan retired as operations director at the end of March, and his successor will be announced shortly.

“John Lloyd has made a considerable contribution to the business over the past 15 years and we wish him and his family every success as he relocates back to the North West,” said Snows Timber’s managing director Jim Peryer.

“Mark Bowers has international expertise in both wood procurement and sales & marketing, and bringing these skill-sets together as commercial director will help drive forward further growth for Snows Timber.”

Snows has increased its annual turnover to £43 million and seen its annual softwood procurement alone rise to around 150,000m3. Further growth in its core markets is predicted for 2015-16.
