SCA Wood UK has appointed James Birks as Supplier Quality Engineer.
Birks, who has gained excellent knowledge of problem solving tools and quality standards during his fourteen years in the automotive industry, will be working with third party suppliers to ensure compliance and conformance in relation to product quality.
He will become the key quality contact for our suppliers and effectively analyse any product improvements and identify effective solutions with our suppliers ensuring that products are delivered right first time. James will also be responsible for conducting audits, coordinating corrective actions and supporting new product development.
SCA’s Head of Quality, Paul Nash says: “this appointment will further strengthen our commitment to product quality. James will focus on building QA Supplier relationships, to ensure goods received for processing or onward distribution are fully compliant with product specifications.”
