A team from plumbers merchant PTS have taken part in ‘British Gas Bikes Britain’.
The nine-day endurance event was run by British Gas in September to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital. The PTS team helped to raise £443,026.77 on the 100-mile leg of the challenge, which was sponsored and completed by the PTS team in 12 hours.
Pete Woodward, PTS director of the British Gas Account, said: “I’d just like to say a huge well done to my fellow PTS team mates for all their efforts. Everyone had a can-do attitude and really pushed themselves to achieve personal bests all round.
“There was a great sense of camaraderie amongst the team and even the fact that I got lost and ended up cycling an additional 20 miles didn’t stop it from being a fantastic event for a very worthy cause.”
