Polypipe’s new Polyguard is a new barrier pipe system designed to ensure the safe delivery of drinking water through redeveloped sites that may have been contaminated by previous industrial or commercial use.
Polyguard will protect potable water from a wide range of potential contaminants including organic and inorganic, corrosive and toxic elements.
Polyguard pipe is constructed from two layers of flexible polyethylene adhered to a central layer of aluminium which forms an impenetrable barrier. The brown striped outer layer ensures clear and easy identification of installed pipe. There are three sizes – 25, 32 and 63mm – all supplied in 50m coils.
An extensive selection of highly engineered brassware tees,elbows, standard and transition couplings is also available, incorporating a special insert designed to ensure a perfect guard against contaminants.
