Polypipe Civils opened a new building to house additional manufacturing capacity and yard space, new offices and a new workshop facility for its fabrications department.
The £6m investment includes the new head office and the increase in manufacturing capacity and yard space is designed to enable the company to improve customer service, keep up with demand, provide improved lead times and achieve quicker deliveries.
The fabrications department, which is housed at the current manufacturing plant in Loughborough, will be relocated to the new site, more than doubling its capacity from 12,000 to 30,000sq m.
Managing director Glenn Sabin said, “The opening of our new head office and the levels of investment we have made into our business operations are a clear indication of our commitment to the UK construction market and manufacturing industry. Polypipe Civils has grown significantly in recent years and our new premises will enable us to continue to provide excellent service levels to our customers, as well as a modern, open-plan working environment for our employees.”
