Plumber goes bust after million-pound dispute

A plumbing and heating contractor called in the administrators after a dispute over a payment from a major customer.

Phil Rogerson Ltd of Carnforth in Lancashire was owed £1m by a building contractor and called in accountants UHY Hacker Young as administrators in August.

Lancashire local paper The Visitor reports that the collapse left £965,000 owing to trade creditors including Travis Perkins and Wolseley UK Ltd. Employees were owed £281,667 in notice payments and redundancy pay.
