Otford Builders Merchants beats Breast Cancer Care charity target

Independent builders merchant Otford Builders Merchants has raised over £5,000 for the charity Breast Cancer Care.

The merchant has been holding raffles, a quiz night, a golf day and two pink cake sales throughout the year, with enormous support from suppliers donating prizes and customers, staff and suppliers buying tickets, baking cakes and wearing pink clothing.

The company started off its fund-raising efforts with specially-commissioned pink bulk bags, the sale of which is also raising money for charity as Otford are donating to the charity for every one sold.

Managing director Alan Boyd says: “We will be supporting Breast Cancer Care again in 2015 with our pink bulk bags and more events.”
