Olfa speeds up cutting

The Speed Blades from OLFA UK undergo a manufacturing process at the facilities in Japan to make them sharper, longer-lasting and more economical than standard utility knife blades.

The OLFA black blades cut with unparalleled sharpness, and have a fluorine coating, which drastically reduces resistance, helping blades to glide easily. The friction reduction prevents them from getting stuck when cutting through cardboard, polystyrene, foam, caulk, silicone and many more materials. In tests, the coating halved the cutting time.

The combination of sharpness and extra glide has a considerable safety advantages, meaning far less pressure is required to cut, significantly reducing the chance of slipping, the the most frequent cause of injuries.

The speed blade has seven segments, each of which can be snapped to reveal a brand new edge, meaning one blade is the equivalent of seven conventional blades.
