Preston-based builders and plumbers merchant OBAS UK Ltd has lent a helping hand to a unique enterprise project run by Bolton Lads and Girls Club, Renov8.

The project will see seven young people, who are not currently in employment or education, embark on carrying out major improvements to a derelict house in Kearsley, Bolton. Whilst renovating the four bedroom house, the youths are gaining valuable skills and working alongside tradespeople from many businesses including OBAS.
As well as donating a number of necessary construction products, including a new uPVC back door, OBAS staff, including OBAS CEO Norman Tenray will attend onsite to assist with the project and to offer further insights surrounding the construction industry to the seven 17-21 year olds working on the refurbishment.
Once completed the house will be sold and profits will be reinvested into the clubs Enterprise services to fund further projects, helping more young people develop opportunities and their future career.
OBAS CEO, Norman Tenray, said “We’re passionate about giving back to the community, I believe we need to work to bring together business, charity, education and culture whether possible and this project is a perfect example of the positive OBAS can play.”
