nmc acquire Copley Decor Ltd

nmc (uk) ltd has announced the friendly acquisition of Copley Decor Ltd for an undisclosed sum.
The new company will trade as nmc Copley and Copley Decor’s Bruce Storr will remain as managing director. The company will be the only UK manufacturer of polyurethane decorative mouldings and will continue to operate from its existing locations in South Wales and North Yorkshire without any job losses.

Commenting on the acquisition, nmc managing director Trevor Stone said, “It is our intention to expand our UK businesses through organic growth and acquisition and I expect to announce further initiatives over the next 12 months.” nmc already manufacture leading thermoplastic products for insulation, air conditioning, automotive and white goods markets

“Copley already enjoys an enviable reputation for excellent customer service and quality product which, added to our vast existing range of decoration products, will make the new company the major force in the industry,” said Mr Stone. Bruce Storr added: “I welcome this move and the unification of two such key players. Working with Europe’s largest manufacturer of lightweight decorative mouldings will benefit staff and customers and I am confident that nmc Copley will achieve rapid and sustained progress”.
