Builders merchants buying group the National Buying Group have added another member, specialist insulation distributors W Madden, based in Leeds.
NBG chief executive Allan Durning says the addition is part of their strategy to bring in members with a more specialist understanding of particular sectors.
“When we formed NBG as an LLP we created two streams. One for builders, plumbers and timber merchants, the other for specialist distributors, whether they be in insulation, drylining, tools and fixings or other sectors.
“It’s no secret where insulation is heading over the next few years. W Madden will be able to share their expertise in the regulations and the technicality of the legislation with the rest of the group. It’s vital that independent builders merchants are best able to understand where regulation is going to take the industry over the next 10 years,” he said.
