NBG merchants show strong support for EU membership

A vote among the principals and owners of the UK’s leading independent builders merchants, carried out by National Buying Group (NBG), shows strong support for the United Kingdom to remain as a member of the European Union.
The secret ballot, which took place at the NBG Partners’ Event on 12 April, showed that 59% of the votes cast were in favour of the UK staying in the EU, with 41% in favour of a Brexit. This result is in line with all major UK business organisation and trade association surveys, which show a majority of business leaders surveyed in favour the UK remaining in the EU.
