MP to open energy centre

The first Green Energy Centre will be opened at The Builders Supply Company in Kendal by local MP Tim Farron on Wednesday Oct 5.

The new department will be run by Jamie Kilduff who has been in the builders merchants trade for over 20 years and says: “The Builders Supply Company are a forward thinking company and take seriously the changes that are being driven forward by the Government and Local Authorities to help reduce our customers’ carbon footprint.

“We need to look at carbon reduction products that reduce the use of fossil fuels in people’s homes and businesses and save them money.”

The green energy centre provides a number of services relating to energy use for domestic and commercial properties. All these services are linked to a professional assessment report to provide freedom of information, which can help customers identify the best and most relevant energy efficiency measures available, along with suitable renewable products that reduce carbon and energy.
