Jones won over £1000 of landscaping materials and access to one of MKM’s in-branch landscaping specialists as well as local landscaping company Hamlyn Fencing and Paving.

Jones said: “I’ve been married for 27 years and haven’t taken a holiday once. I have two disabled sons and a disabled husband so it has always been difficult to maintain the garden and keep it looking nice. I’ve never really had anywhere pleasant to sit outside and wheelchair access wasn’t great.

“MKM has installed a safe wheelchair ramp so the whole family can enjoy the garden and I now have a beautiful space to spend time with family and friends. I’ve already had my first barbecue and I’m looking forward to enjoying the summer outside!”

Mike Foster, landscaping expert at MKM’s Anlaby branch said: “We were delighted to have helped Carole. We designed it according to her requirements and met with her at our Anlaby branch so she could browse our range of paving, fencing and decorative aggregates. In the end, she opted for the introduction of gravelled areas, a brand new shed and high quality, natural stone paving that will look great for years.

“I would like to thank all of our suppliers for their generous support, which has helped to make this project a success.”

Suppliers, including Stonemarket, Forest Garden, Yarrows Aggregates, Biowise, Toolbank, Everbuild, Wrekin and International Timber, worked alongside MKM’s specialist landscaping team to help design and create the dream garden.
