MKM plans second Lincoln branch

MKM Building Supplies, is further strengthening its offering in Lincoln by opening a second branch in the city.

The new branch will be opened on Lincoln’s Bishops Trade Park, complementing the existing MKM branch in North Hykeham. MKM Lincoln North will bring a fully-stocked trade counter and state-of-the-art kitchen and bathroom showroom to the north of the city, with transport links via Lincoln’s ring road.

Strategically located to reach an even broader audience of tradespeople and homeowners, the 20,000 sq. ft. branch will help MKM expand its offering for the city and the wider East of England region, alongside creating a number of jobs for local people. Doors are set to open to the trade and public in Autumn 2022.

The new branch will be headed up by Aiden Williams and Steve Redmile, who bring together many years experience within the merchant sector and with MKM. Williams says: “We can’t wait to open the doors of our brand new branch in Lincoln. Opening a second branch in the city is testament to MKM’s commitment to providing first rate customer service and unbeatable product choice to tradesman.”

Neil Riseham is Head of Property at MKM Building Supplies and is overseeing the build of MKM Lincoln North, in conjunction with property developers Padley. He says: “When it comes to identifying the right location for a new branch, there are several key factors to consider. This includes ensuring we have adequate space for a showroom and yard, alongside proximity to excellent transport links to guarantee convenience for busy tradespeople.”
