The 3.2acre site with a 26,000sq. foot warehouse is situated in a prime city centre location on the former Keyline Site in Miller Street, Aberdeen.

The branch is designed to be a one-stop shop offering timber, sheet materials, joinery products, building materials, roofing, landscaping, electrical and plumbing & heating as well as a kitchen and bathroom showroom.

The outlet is part of the MKM’s ambitious expansion plans, which have taken on significant momentum over the past few years.  Fast-growing MKM has added 15 new branches to its network in just over two years making Aberdeen the 65th branch, with 3 more planned this year.

MKM Aberdeen is headed up by Branch Director Grant Hay, who says: “It is fantastic to be opening the city’s first new builder’s merchants in over ten years – the new team has worked incredibly hard to create an exceptional customer experience and we look forward to welcoming local people and businesses in the coming weeks.

“We have created a relaxed and friendly environment – complete with free Wi-Fi and complimentary hot drinks.  We are keen to talk to both local trade and retail customers assisting them to have the best solutions for their construction projects, installations and improvements.”

David Kilburn, MKM executive chairman said: “Our new branch in Aberdeen offers an exciting opportunity for MKM, the Scottish building industry is buoyant and offers a solid business proposition.

“Our team of specialists at Aberdeen are very experienced and they have an in-depth understanding of what our customers need. Customers can always be guaranteed excellent stock availability, and an extensive product range.”
