Minster goes from Minster to Minster

Minster, part of Saint Gobain and a sister company to Jewson & Graham, is working to raise funds for the group’s chosen charity, Help the Hospices, the leading charity supporting hospice care throughout the UK.

So far the first year of the partnership between Help the Hospices, Minster and Jewson, Graham, Ashworth, Curzon and Frazer has raised over £120,000.

Led by managing director Peter Stringer the team took three days to do the walk leaving Beverley Minster on July 11. Also walking were Nick Ratcliffe, Reece Bailes, Richard Walker, Duncan Barker and Helen Hardy. The team arrived at York on Tuesday afternoon tired but delighted to have raised £15,000.

Stringer says: “We were delighted to be able to raise this money for Help the Hospices which provides an invaluable service to local communities throughout the country.”

Two more Minster employees, Steve Davies and Lee Woodward, are setting out to cycle more 85 miles from their branch in Winsford to the company’s head office in Coventry. Neither man has been on a bike for over 15 years.
