Merchants warned after cement mixer theft

A cement mixer was stolen from a builders merchant in Portishead and the owner is warning others to be on the lookout.

Jonathan Jonstone, who owns Carey’s DIY and Building Supplies in Portishead, said two men drove into the yard on September 10 to enquire about hiring the equipment.

Before completing the paperwork one man said he had to check something with his colleague who was loading the mixer on to their van. The two men then drove out of the yard with the cement mixer on their van.
