Merchants march with Lord Mayor

The Worshipful Company of Builders Merchants was represented in this year’s Lord Mayors Show, held on Saturday November 13.

Merchants march with Lord Mayor

Newly-installed Master Gary Hopkins, Senior Warden Graeme Ballinger and Junior Warden Andrew Day took part in the parade through the City of London, cheered on by thousands of spectators.

The world’s oldest civic procession is three miles long – almost twice as long as the route it follows. It travels from Mansion House to the Royal Courts of Justice, where the Lord Mayor takes an oath of allegiance to the sovereign before the Lord Chief Justice and the judges of the Queen’s Bench Division.
