Megaflo sustains the hotwater

Specially adapted models from Heatrae Sadia’s Megaflo range are providing plentiful supplies of hot water for one of London’s leading sustainable buildings.

Megaflo sustains the hotwater

45 Megaflo unvented indirect cylinders have been installed at Ropemaker Place, a new landmark building designed with the environment in mind, featuring a full BREEAM rating and extensive roof terraces.

Simon Russell, head of specification for Heatrae Sadia, said: “Due to the design and construction of the building with the bio mass boiler plant room located at lower basement level, the primary water pressure was in excess of normal parameters. Working closely with our customer, we were able to adapt the Megaflos by fitting specialist valves that would be able to cope with the higher pressures within primary water circuit.

“In addition, we were able to provide the solution for the electrical control to enable the integration of each Megaflo into the building management system.”
