Marshalls win British Safety Council award

The British Safety Council (BSC) has awarded the prestigious International Safety Award to Marshalls West Lane Works, near Halifax following assessment by an independent adjudicating panel,
The works were judged on their safety policies, plans and commitment to health and safety including the improvement of the safety culture within the organisation.

Marshalls West Lane business unit manager Jonathan Wilson said: “We are delighted to have received this prestigious award from the BSC in recognition of our Health & Safety procedures.

“Marshalls takes the welfare of its entire staff very seriously and this is not only a commendation for the company’s attitude towards this important subject but the actions of all the employees at West Lane & Marshalls who implement Health & Safety procedures every working day. Without that kind of commitment we would never have achieved this acknowledgment.”
