West London based builders merchant Lords Builders Merchants has acquired the share capital of E Hussey and Sons Ltd.
Hussey and Saunders is a third generation family business in Beaconsfield, just outside London.
Shanker Patel CEO of the Lords Group said: “We are delighted to have the opportunity to acquire this long standing business from its retiring owners. The site at over 3.75 acres provides scope for opportunity to grow the business significantly and for the Lords Group to utilise some of the space at this site for central distribution of selective products.”
The site is two miles from the M40 with excellent links into West London as well as affluent towns in Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire; Lords intends to make a significant investment in the business over the next two years.
Both busineses are members of the H&B Buying Group.
Following the acquisition, Lords will operate from three heavy side builders merchants, a specialist civils merchants- George Lines- and three light side merchants.
