Timber importer John Brash say they expect their new hard-wearing and non-slip structural timber decking, JB Antislip Plus, to be popular for creating safe outdoor smoking areas.
It uses a formula of resin-based aggregate inserts, which are injected into the grooves of the deck boards.
Alternatively, grooves can be machined into smooth boards to receive the inserts. The resin inserts are dark grey in colour to blend with the natural colour of the deck board as it weathers.
JB Antislip Plus was developed in line with Health & Safety standards, The Disability Discrimination Act and Part M of the Building Regulations, and the timber is from sustainable forests.
