James Hardie launches the Hardie Plank challenge

James Hardie has launched its Hardie® Plank challenge to raise awareness around its Hardie® VL Plank range, which offers quality, versatility and 20% faster installation times than alternative cladding products.

The Hardie® Plank challenge is a roadshow event taking place in 25 locations across the UK in collaboration with a number of builders merchants.  It kicked off at the Jewson’s Bridgwater branch on May 28 and runs until October when the winner will be announced.IMG 7833

Lee Bucknall, UK Sales Manager at James Hardie said: “We wanted to create a challenge that was a bit of fun and at the same time raise awareness and promote the benefits of the Hardie® VL Plank range.  This initiative is a great opportunity to grow our network of installers and also to work closely with a number of national building merchants.

“If you fancy yourself to be a top-quality installer and think you have what it takes, we’d love to see you at one of our events.”

At each event James Hardie invite installers, customers and dealers to attend and learn about the Hardie® Plank product range.  Guests will receive comprehensive product training and be invited to take part in the challenge where competitors will race against the clock to install the Hardie® VL Plank with precision and speed.

Every person who takes part will receive a James Hardie goodie bag and the ‘fastest fixer’ on the day will win a prize, and be entered into the national time challenge where the top 3 fastest installers in the UK will win £5,000, £3,000 or £2,000 worth of holiday vouchers.

The Hardie® VL Plank is the perfect timber and uPVC alternative for DIY renovations and housebuilders, with a convincing texture and natural look.  The clip-less system is at least 20% faster to install than comparable interlock solutions and delivers a low maintenance solution with a unique ColourPlus™ technology finish.
